Horses are known for their intelligence and social behavior, but what about their sense of humor? While it may seem strange to attribute such a trait to a non-human animal, there is evidence to suggest that horses do indeed have a sense of humor. One of the ways in which horses exhibit their sense of humor is through playful behavior. They may engage in “horseplay,” which includes running, bucking, and playfully nipping at each other. This behavior is often seen in young horses as they play and learn how to interact with other members of their herd.
However, even adult horses may engage in playful behavior with each other or with their human handlers. Another way in which horses display their sense of humor is through their reactions to unexpected situations. Horses are highly attuned to their surroundings and may become frightened or nervous in response to sudden noises or movements. However, they may also react in a playful or curious manner.
For example, a horse may approach a person wearing a funny hat or carrying an unusual object, showing a sense of curiosity and amusement. Furthermore, horses have been known to exhibit what can be described as a sense of sarcasm or irony. For example, a horse may refuse to perform a task that it knows well or may pretend to be stubborn or difficult in order to playfully challenge its handler.
The man in the following video decides to test the reaction of the horse by wearing a horse masks. He even acts silly in front of the horse. However, horse’s reaction is simply hilarious. After curiously following the activities of the man, horse looks at him with a funny face. I simply can not stop laughing from this video.
