Horses have a tendency to do some really bizarre, foolish, or amusing things both when we observe them and when we don’t! Even while we are riding them, some seem to relish getting into trouble in the pasture, the stable, or both. Horses make us laugh all the time, and this is one of the reasons why we love them so much. The majority of us encounter spooking when riding, but what makes us laugh is when the spook is completely needless. A horse sees a dreadful shadow monster lying on the ground or hiding in the underbrush that will undoubtedly rise up and attack them. They then leap over or past it in a flurry of snorts, prancing around like idiots. Then, as a brightly colored van drives by, you don’t bat an eyelid.
Nothing is worse than having an itch you can’t scratch. When you don’t have hands to reach something, it can be more difficult to scratch that itch. Therefore, “certain equines” appear to believe that precariously sitting on three legs while somehow able to stretch a rear leg to scratch the afflicted ear is the solution to an itching ear. This awkward balancing performance is funny, kind of like a flea-infested puppy! It begs the questions of why they don’t just scratch it against the stable door and how on earth they are able to reach without falling over or kicking themselves in the head.
Now, you know very well that you won’t finish the job of grooming your horse looking exactly as you started. When you clean the dirt and dust off of your horse, it seems to be headed straight towards your face, clothes, body, etc. A horse that decides to groom you while you are grooming them, however, does not help the situation. When you’re finished, your hairstyle will have a particularly bird-nest-like appearance. Very attractive! Yes, we recognize that flatulence is common. But why does your horse seem to think that trimming its tail, examining its rear feet, or otherwise working on the back end is the ideal moment to let off steam? Seriously, it seems as like they planned it and waited till you were around in order to do it.
In the following video, we will give you another argument why horses are so funny and lovely. The horse in the video tries to show us that he is unstoppable.
