All of us spend a lot of time with horses on a daily basis and due to the fact, it seems like our animals are out of every danger as during the day they are with us and there is a low chance that something will happen to them during the time when they are not with us but this is a wrong thought that the majority of the horse owners have.
Although there is a small chance for your horse to be exposed to dangerous situations in the barn or inside the stable, it should not be excluded at any point as an option. That is why a lot of people put security cameras to check what their horses are doing apart from all the other benefits that come from them.
Once, because of the security cameras, a man managed to save a horse from getting inside a hole opened in the field by a neighbor and all of you know how dangerous is that and what would have been the consequences on this horse. Similar to this situation is the situation in the video below but unfortunately, it was more critical than the one that I just discussed.
This horse fell on a pool. in Sonoma County, California. The visual may seem a bit ridiculous, but just imagine what that poor horse must have been feeling. Firefighters had to cut away from the deck in order to successfully free the horse. The horse, named Spirit, found her way into the pool at night. The owner of the home, Katy Poteracke, says she heard a loud thud right before her dog started barking. Obviously, something was wrong.
She likely had no clue that her pet horse fell into her pool. So how did it happen? The horse initially walked onto the pool cover and then fell right in. The pool wasn’t heated, and the horse didn’t have any way to climb out. Panicked over what to do, Katy realized that the only thing she could do was call 911.
Thanks to the group of rescuers, the horse was out of trouble but the point of the video is that all of you learn a valuable lesson from this, that the danger comes from where you don’t expect it, hence, never get too comfortable that your horse or any other animal is totally safe when things like this can happen.
