There are a lot of moments in life where we get to appreciate it even more, especially when we are in front of a lot of difficult situations, and I am talking about those moments when we risk our lives for our loved ones. That is why the expression ‘health always comes first’ is absolutely true as everything in life can be handled, but serious illnesses or getting to see our loved ones go can be really difficult and no one wants to be a part of such a situation.
Every time when we complain about things that are not going right in our lives, we have to think about how grateful we are if we compare ourselves to other people out there who have some ‘real problems’ compared to job-related or school-related problems. At the end, we will always keep the good memories in our mind and we will try to forget all the bad ones, as our selective memories tend to store all the good memories that we had as our emotional standing needs to be good so everything can function in the way that it needs to.
A few sentences above I mentioned the term ‘loved ones’ and you probably thought that I was referring to people but actually, the loved ones can be animals as well and this guy loves his animal friends to the point that he sacrificed his life for them when we entered inside a burning barn and saved 14 Clydesdale horses. He was only 16 years old by the time of the rescue and I have to say that a lot of adults would have been scared to enter and then save these horses’ lives but he was brave enough to enter.
He would not, in any way, let the horses turn into ashes. The barn doors were locked because the power was out and the fire had started burning all around the building. The boy immediately reacted by hopping onto a nearby 4-wheel tractor and driving it straight into the burning barn wall whilst calling his mom out load to follow him. He definitely turned out to be the hero of the story and I really want to congratulate him for his bravery and for the fact that he saved these Clydesdales lives. I wish nothing but the best for his future.
