My favorite thing in the horse world is the huge number of breeds that are in it. In different countries in the world, even in the ones that are really close geographically you will be able to see a lot of differences between horses, in some cases, the two different breeds do not even look alike. Let’s take Belgium and Netherlands for example, they are bordering countries yet their two most popular native breeds are so different from each other, respectively Drafts and Friesians.
Everything about them is different and you would probably think that these breeds come from two different parts of the world, but actually it is not the case. Each one of these horse breeds is very unique that makes them distinguishable from the others. By saying that, it is always great when you travel to a country and get to see their native horse breeds, especially in Europe and Asia where there are a lot of amazing horse breeds that nowadays are even getting bred in other parts of the world.
Today we are going to focus on one of the most beautiful Asian horse breeds. You already know it from the title which breed I am referring to. When you get to see Akhal-Tekes, the first thing that you ask yourself is whether their skin color is real or not, as it is gold and shiny, that’s why they are also called golden horses. The horse below is a stunning individual of the breed.
He has a long body and that makes him look like a Thoroughbred horse. But he also looks like a racehorse because he is slim and his abdomen is tucked up. His neck is tapered and all-in-all Akhal-Teke is highly athletic and can take part in jumping, dressage, racing… Everything is special about that but seriously, I can’t take my eyes off their shiny coat which is absolutely incredible; it is really hard to believe that it is actually real.
Other distinctive characteristics of horse breeds can be found within two different horse breeds, but as far as I am concerned, no other breed has such a distinctive color. Please watch the video below and let us know what you think about these horses.
