I’m pretty sure that all equestrians know that there is no other breed as sociable and lovable as miniature horses. These amazing horses are known for being great with children and are simply incredible when it comes to therapy work.
That’s why they now participate at Gentle Carousel Miniature Therapy Horses, a non-profit organization that takes care and trains miniature horses to be therapy animals at their five locations all around the world. They can be found everywhere, from shocking events, natural disasters to shootings, such as the terrible shooting who occurred at Sandy Hook Elementary.
Is no surprise that every year they visit over 45,000 people all over the world annually, but they are mostly based in orphanages, hospice centers and hospitals. If you have even the slightest problem, mini horses are there for the rescue! Of course it is not an easy journey to become a therapy horse.
Scout, an 4-year-old horse, who weighted just 7.2 pounds, is the living proof that if you work very hard to achieve something, sooner or later you will become successful. Although he needs to train for another two years for becoming a therapy horse, he is already a therapy to the thousands fans who watch him every moment in different social medias.
Every Gentle Carousel mini horse has their own unique personalities, and despite all the differences they all do an amazing job to provide all the people in need all the attention they deserve. Keep in mind that they are s volunteer run, so, every dollar you donate goes directly to the horses and their dedicated programs.
