Nelly Jacobs grew up riding horses. From the time she was a little girl, then her teens, and into her adult life, this woman has always been in love with the majestic beauty and power that comes from these beautiful creatures. But unfortunately, Nelly began to notice her hands tremble in her early 50s.
Eventually, she got the horrible news from her doctors; she had Parkinson’s disease. The shaking got so bad that within a few years she had to give up riding horses, and though she loved to watch them walk and run, she missed the freedom that came with being on top of these huge animals, more than anything! As the years passed by, Nelly never lost her love for these amazing creatures.
Even though she never got the chance to ride them, at least she always had her wonderful memories of riding as a younger woman. But at 87 years old, someone got the amazing idea to give this woman a second chance and let her live her passion once again.
Free from her wheelchair, this woman was allowed to lie on top of two horses working together. And while she still has Parkinson’s, the look of joy on her face as she feels the up and down motion of the horses is truly heartwarming to watch! Thank goodness Nelly was given the chance to ride her favorite horses again, for old time’s sake!
