Anyone who ever said diamonds are a girl’s best friend never met a pony. Technically, ponies are distinguished from horses by their heavy coats, shorter legs, and smaller stature… but good things come in small packages! Just take it from Skye, an adorable little girl who’s lucky enough to have her very own Shetland pony named Gucci. Together, Skye and Gucci make one incredible team.
They ride in the field and perform tricks, but Skye also knows the importance of cleaning out the stables and keeping her best friend’s shaggy coat nice and brushed. I’m definitely smitten, and I’m not the only one. One YouTube commenter writes, “It makes me feel so good to see to see a youngster like her starting a love of horses.”
Shetland ponies are typically 28-42 inches tall, and properly trained Shetland ponies like Gucci make the perfect mount for little girls who are just learning to ride. This girl is 100% living out her pony dreams for the rest of us. I dare you not to say “AWW!” while watching! A lot of equestrian parents try to share the passion that they have for horses with their kids, but it does not always work because there are kids who are not passionate about horses at all.
It must feel amazing for the parents of this gorgeous 3-year-old girl to realize that their baby daughter shares the same passion for horses. What about your daughter/son? Does she/he share the same passion as you as equestrian parents share for horses? Let us know in the comments. Hopefully, they do.
