If you have ever owned a dog, you probably know that they all really do have their own unique personalities. Also, there is usually something, whether it’s someone saying a word like “walkie” or “treat,” or seeing their favorite squeaky toy, or even another animal, that will totally send them into crazy mode. For my dogs, the sound of the doorbell makes them go absolutely nuts.
They can be smack dab in the middle of eating their bowls of food and the second the doorbell dings, they abandon their bowls and bark at the front door until they finally get to attack the people on the other side with kisses. For the adorable poodle, Sherlock, in this video, it’s not just a word or another dog that gets him all riled up, it’s what’s on TV. Just like George, the tennis-loving dog, Sherlock has his favorite sport.
And just like the many people who excitedly anticipated the outcome of the 2015 American Triple Crown outcome, Sherlock cheered for his favorite racer, American Pharaoh, all the way to the finish line. Although he is a just a dog, Sherlock’s owners joke that the reason he is so into the races is because of the large wager he put up against the neighbors’ boxer.
Thankfully for Sherlock, American Pharaoh took home the crown, and Sherlock can now go collect his “3 bones and bag of Snausages,” and now holds all rights to “barking at the local opossum.” We will never stop being surprised about how much horses and dogs love and support each it other. Probably a lot of you have noticed if you own both dogs and horses. If you really like the video, feel free to share it with your friends.
