” A few years ago, I was traveling with a friend of mine who had a dog. We stayed at a hotel overnight, and the dog was allowed to stay in the room with us. I was surprised: before that, I had no idea there were hotels that allowed pets to stay!”
Well, it turns out there are a ton of pet-friendly hotels, and they get a lot of business from people who want to travel with their furry friends. Still, I don’t expect that most hotels see a lot of horses come into their lobbies! That’s exactly what happened at a Super 8 Hotel recently, though.
31-year-old Lindsey Partridge was traveling in Lexington, Kentucky, and had to stay overnight. She booked a room at the pet-friendly hotel, and when she heard their pet policy, she jokingly marched right into the lobby with her 5-year-old racehorse, Blizz.
The woman at the front desk wasn’t at all alarmed that a racehorse had just entered the hotel, and told Lindsey that Blizz could stay as long as she paid the pet deposit — a mere $10. Blizz ended up not spending the night at the hotel with Lindsey, but they did snap some incredible pictures together before he left.
