Maybe it is unusual for ponies to perform dressage but Lancelot does not mind and he performs amazingly. He seems to have all the support from the spectators also as all the crowd watching the show cheer for him.
Lancelot has been trained to leg-yield, shoulder in, haunches in, half pass, halt, rein back, simple lead change, counter canter, flying lead change, pirouette, piaffe, passage and levade and he seems to do all these quite well. Lancelot is so adorable and this is fun to watch. What a pony and what a trainer, both with an excellent attitude. The trainer, Sabine Ellinger, has a great book on training miniature horses called “Mini School.”
It shows how she trains Lancelot to do these moves. She really knows her stuff and what is more important she knows how to show it! Watch and enjoy the video of Lancelot, the amazing miniature horse performing dressage.
