“Riding isn’t a sport. It’s so easy! Anyone could do it. You just sit there and the horse does all the work.” These are some words that I will never for a second utter in my life. Hearing people talk about riding this way does annoy me as they don’t really know what riding means and how hard it is to be a professional rider.
First of all, you have to be physically fit and you should be able to take care of the horse and train him as well. People think it is easy because they only see the perfect riders on TV but they don’t really know how much sweat, blood, tears, hard work, and patience goes into training and riding. It’s not easy to gain the trust of a man, just imagine how much you have to work to gain the trust of an animal, in this case of the horse.
You have to go through a lot of difficult situations and probably fall several times and get hurt until you reach that level of perfection that people watch on TV. And people say riding is easy… Watch the clip!
