Do horses get jealous? Though the question might sound ridiculous to many people only horse riders and trainer know that this happens and this is true. Horses are not jealous of achievements or advantages but they can be possessive and protective of their food, space, herd position, attention etc. This usually happens when another horse becomes a member of the family.
The owners start taking care of him, just like they have taken care of the old one, by grooming, cuddling, and riding him. The old horse will find it difficult to see another horse having the same treatment as him and they don’t express their jealousy like people do. They can be really aggressive and noisy but the horse in the video seems to be really quiet as he knows that he is the one that’s got all the attention. While the owner is clipping on of her horses another one has the head just over the back of the one that is being clipped.
While he watches he also wants to try the clipper on its nose. He finds the clipper amusing and when the woman goes back to clipping the other horse he just flaps his lips as if reminding his owner and trying to say ‘I haven’t had enough. Don’t stop. Go on!” He is so chill that only looking at him will make you laugh and put a smile on your face. Watch the video for more!
