It’s good to have fun when you are working around horses. Grooms work long and hard, and sometimes you just need to get creative and have a good laugh with the vacuum instead of crying about how dirty your horse is. The advantage to having a vacuum is that it can replace some of your elbow grease if your horse is dusty and dirty.
But first, you need to introduce your horse to it. I have known hundreds of horses that don’t even blink around the vacuum, and only one that was terrified of it, even when off and practically out of sight. We tried to get him used to it, but in the end it wasn’t worth it. The horse you are going to watch in the video doesn’t seem to spook around a vacuum but on the contrary, he just loves it. It looks like the vacuum is his best friend and he has fun with it. This is like a touching love story between the horse, his owner, and his grooming tool.
As a matter of fact, maybe the horse has found an alternative way of ‘cleaning its teeth’ as he approaches the vacuum, open his mouth, and feels the air through his teeth. The hilarious action doesn’t happen only once but it is repeated several times. Watch the video!
