All around the world, there are a lot of amazing horse breeds and a lot of countries can brag about their beautiful horses. All of these breeds are generally very different from each other and they all have something unique to offer regarding their appearance. Horses are one of the most beautiful animals and getting to see all these hundreds of different breeds that make a great representation of the animal, it is very convincing that such beauty is very difficult to be topped by any other animal.
However, despite being all beautiful, only a few of these breeds have a huge reputation and are known worldwide such as Arabian horses, Friesians, Clydesdales, etc. All of these breeds mentioned are amazing but it is important to give great recognition to a lot of other horse breeds that are overshadowed by these ones.
That is why we constantly like to give these breeds the exposure that they need and gain the same reputation as the most popular breeds. One of these breeds is definitely Akhal Tekes. Akhal Teke looks too good to be true thanks to their golden coloring and the shimmery sheen of their coats. While there are only a precious few alive, Akhal Tekes do, in fact, exist. That’s right…they only look like golden statues.
The mane and tail on this majestic breed of horses are usually sparse, which only enhances their angelic features and makes them seem more statuesque. Not surprisingly, these elegant horses are often trained to perform dressage. Perhaps their most extraordinary feature is their bright blue eyes, visible from afar. Like other horse breeds, Akhal Teke have a variety of coat colors. All have a beautiful metallic sheen specific to their breed.
Only 6,600 Akhal Teke are alive today. The number is low, yet, it is not an endangered species and I believe that it won’t be anytime soon as a lot of work is being done towards increasing the overall population of the breed. They are definitely one of the most special horse breeds that you can find. Please have a look at the video and share them with your friends.
