During the past few years, Houston has experienced a lot of dangerous floods that are mainly caused by extreme rainfall in this area. The water levels rose 25-27 feet above the accepted level which made things even worse. All these floods have taken the lives of hundreds of people and at the same time, thousands of animals.
The story below speaks about Cypress Trails, equestrian and at the same time the owner of 75 horses, with 70 of them escaping during the frightening flooding. Unfortunately, a lot of these horses were submerged but the whole community would not let them down so members of it join forces on the difficult mission to save as many horses as they could.
Men and women critically risked their lives only to bring these horses back save. A lot of these horses were minutes, if not seconds close to a tragic fate but thank god all the efforts that these people put were worth it. “These aren’t just horses.
They’re a part of the family, so I would come out here as I’d do for anyone a part of my family. Got to go save them,” said one of the rescuers. What would you have done being in the same situation as the rescuers of this story? Let us know in the comment section. Shout out to all these people for the amazing job that they did. God bless them.
