When we talk about symbiosis we take into consideration the relationship between two different kinds of living things that live together and depend on each other. This is the story of an old man called Roderick Olson and his horse Zaxson. People usually dispose of horses who lose their vision but Roderick isn’t one of those.
When his horse Zaxson went blind, he didn’t cast the animal aside but took really good care of him instead. Horses usually have no future when they lose their vision but Roderick still rides it and considers it as his best friend. Roderick considers himself to be the horse’s eyes and the horse to be his feet to walk long distances and go for a ride. This story really made my day as it shows a handicapped horse with the will to still enjoy living and an owner who helps him achieve that.
This is the purest form of trust, one of the most tender and genuinely touching things I have seen. Thank goodness not everyone thinks that animals are disposable! You can tell how strong their bond is and what a wonderful life they have. Thank you Roderick for being Zaxson’s champion! Watch the video!
