This is one of those videos that make our days and brings smiles to our faces as a wild stallion called Champ rescues a young filly in raging water. It’s not only humans who help each other in tough situations, it’s also the animals that come to the help of their friends when friends need them.
Such is the case of Champ, a stallion who was grazing along with his family by the banks of Salt River when a filly in his group got herself into trouble. They started crossing the river as they saw another group of horses on the other side when all of a sudden the young filly was swept away by the swiftly flowing river. The poor foal was pulled under the water and came to the surface in panic. The current swept her downstream but Champ swam over to her and tried to grab her by its neck.
It was difficult to that as they both went downstream but Champ wasn’t a quitter and he tried several times until he managed to grab her by the back of her neck and pulled her back to safety on shore. The filly immediately ran to her mother as Champ continued to keep an eye on the other horses. Watch the video!
