Showjumping, or known differently as “stadium jumping”, is part of a competitive group of English riding equestrian events. In this kind of sport, both rider and horse are required to jump during a limited time with different kinds of obstacles who are specially designed for these kinds of competitions. These sorts of competitions can be seen at horse shows throughout the world, including here the famous Olympics.
Riders and jumping horses are all well trained and have years of experience before entering this kind of competitions but as we all know horse riding is unpredictable. As history has shown there is no way that you could possibly avoid or predict falls while you ride a horse.
We enjoy watching the incredible showjumping performances however, they do not always turn out successful as you will be able to watch in the video below. A lot of times failures come as a consequence of pushing the horses’ limits where it should not be pushed.
There are a lot of cases in show jumping history where success becomes an absolute priority for the riders and they do not consider the physical impact of horses when jumping high obstacles. In this video, you will be able to watch closely a compilation of some of the most memorable horse falls in the last couple of years.
We hope that the horses and jumpers who appear in the video below were not hurt and didn’t suffer from big or minor injuries. Have a look at the following video below, let us know your thoughts, and spread out the video on social media with your friends and family!
