It is a known fact that horses have played a tremendous role in several aspects of people’s lives and we have to make sure to give them the recognition they deserve. It seems like they aren’t considered as important as they really are but the truth is that they have played a significant role in various systems such as the security system.
They are the key components of the mounted police, who exist in a lot of countries all over the world. One of the talented police horses is also Harvest, a beautiful Clydesdale/Quarterhorse combination who has served as a police horse for more than 16 years.
In the video shown below, we can see Harvest getting ready to walk his beat for the last time. Harvest and Seattle Police Officer Mark Wubbena have been partners for sixteen years and they shared such an amazing bond together.
Wubbena is feeling very melancholic and is remembering all the things they have gone through together. It’s not only his partner who loved him, everyone who knew Harvest immediately fell in love with him because of his kind and loving nature.
The good news is that Harvest is not going to be fully retired but he has been trained in an adaptive program and in the near future, he is going to assist children and adults with different incapacities. We are glad that he didn’t retire to pasture but will continue to give his contribution to a better world. We also hope that his police partner can visit him now and then.
