There are over 350 breeds of ponies and horses in the world today and below there is the list with 5 outstanding of them:
1) Irish Thoroughbred- This is one of the horse breeds that has been designed and been perfected over the last 250 years specifically for that one horse that can beat the world. They are the winners of the horse kingdom when it comes to elegance, endurance, and speed.
2) Andalusian horse- This is one of the most beautiful and loyal horse breeds with a very big heart. Andalusians are always there for you when you need them the most. They have golden hearts indeed.
3) Hackney Horse- The Hackney Horse breed was developed in the 14th century in Norfolk when the King of England required powerful but attractive horses with an excellent trot, to be used for general purpose riding horses. Since roads were rudimentary in those times, Hackneys were a primary riding horse, riding being the common mode of equine transportation.
4) Orlov Trotter- The Orlov Trotter is a horse breed with a hereditary fast trot, noted for its outstanding speed and stamina. It is the most famous Russian horse. The Orlovs emerged as the result of crossing various European mares with Arabian stallions.
5) Marwari Horse- The Marwari or Malani is a rare breed of horse from the Marwar region of India. Known for its inward-turning ear tips, it comes in all equine colors, although piebald and skewbald patterns tend to be the most popular with buyers and breeders. It is known for its hardiness and is quite similar to the Kathiawari, another Indian breed from the Kathiawar region southwest of Marwar.
