When we have physiological and psychological abnormalities our bodies react to it and we react to it in turn. The same happens with animals and in this case, horses. Sherri posted her story on YouTube to inspire other riders and tell them to never give up on their horses. Flirt was an 8 years old APHA mare at that time who was found days before being put down.
She was so dangerous that vets, farriers, and trainers said she would hurt someone and should be put down. Sherri didn’t agree with that because she believed that Flirt was an awesome horse and that Flirt needed training, patience, and trust. Sherri didn’t listen to what others said about Flirt but put herself to work with her and spend most of her time training Flirt.
She managed to build love and trust between them and communicate with Flirt like no other trainer had done before. Today she is riding bridleless, competing and winning classes in various disciplines and helping train other horses to trust and face their fears in the ring and out on the trails.
