While all foals are adorable (as most baby animals are), the gait of the Paso Fino breed often makes these horses stand out. If you’ve never seen one of these horses in action, then feast your eyes on this little one below and you’ll quickly understand why this breed is so special. This brown baby went viral for showing off her quick steps while following her mama.
(This baby is just as cute as the mare who learned to jump while paying close attention to her mom.) It’s hard to believe how fast her little legs move. But don’t think this has anything to do with training. Paso Fino horses are bred this way, hence why the Spanish animal’s name translates to “fine step.” Still, some can have a more desirable gait than others.
“These are not trained movements, but are natural to the horse from the moment of its birth,” Oklahoma State University’s Department of Animal Science explains in a report. “As with a child, an upbringing that includes good food, affection tempered with discipline, and lots of exercises will assure that the horse best fulfills its potential.
Artificial training aids are not necessary to bring about this genetically inherent gait.” The video has become an Internet Sensation with a huge number of views and shares, making it one of the most famous horse videos on the Internet.
