A pair of horses has survived a frightening crash in Adelaide after their float broke free from a vehicle and rolled on its side. The video, which was posted on Facebook, had this description: “REMARKABLE SURVIVAL: Two horses are lucky to be alive after their float overturned on South Road.
Their owner initially feared the thoroughbreds had been killed, but after a delicate rescue operation they’re expected to make a full recovery.” Horse owner Gabrielle Mathiesen said she was towing the float behind her truck when she heard the trailer fishtailing and then swerved to avoid a crash or collision. It was at that moment that the trailer rolled together with the horses in it. Their owner thought that the horses didn’t stand a chance for survival and that they were killed but it turned out to be all the contrary. The horses survived the accident and after a delicate rescue operation they are on the road to recovery.
Luckily, it was a nice solid trailer and didn’t fold up on impact but we really need to ensure our trailers are serviced and safe because the horses trust us getting into these boxes. The rescue team did an amazing work and we are really happy these horses are ok. Watch the video!
