There’s a fun new trend of dog-friendly pubs and restaurants. I love the idea of being able to enjoy a pint or a snack with my furry best friend. Dogs love being included in social activities so it is a win-win situation for everyone. In some cities, they even have cat cafes where you can sip a latte and cuddle with a rescue cat at the same time.
But why should dogs and cats be the ones having all the fun? Lisa Bond recently stopped in The White Hart, a classic pub in rural Cornwall, with her horse Creamy. During their morning ride, Creamy had a taste for his favorite salt and vinegar snack so they popped into the refurbished inn for a quick bite to eat.
It’s always important to stay hydrated and well-fed while exercising! Creamy clearly knows his way around the pub and steps right up to the bar for service. His unusual presence in the pub was blessed by two local vicars and the pub’s landlord William Saunders, who helped feed the hungry horse.
Lisa says The White Hart is on their normal route and they often stop in for a drink. Creamy gets along with the patrons and pub management quite well. I am all for including willing and well-behaved pets in social gatherings and hope this trend continues.
