Self-confidence is a very important characteristic that people should have because the lack of it is followed by a lot of social issues. People who lack self-confidence are the ones who usually underestimate themselves and get affected by others’ opinions on them which leads in a lot of cases, to wrong decision making and most importantly, to psychological and emotional problems.
The video below explains how a program with therapy horses helps not only people with self-confidence problems but also with concrete syndromes like autism or Aspergers. Animals and those with autism are extremely visual. While those without autism can form lasting bonds with animals, imagine the special connection those who do have autism can form with them!
This means that folks on the spectrum are a little more comfortable with animals like horses, who are more reserved, intuitive, and even a little anxious. People with autism may struggle with social queues in their everyday interactions, so horses, with their ability to communicate nonverbally, can help them.
Everything mentioned above is explained in more detail in the video below, so I invite you all to watch it. If you think that there is someone that you should share this video with, feel free to share it with him/her.
