During our everyday life, one of our biggest issues is time management. We try to escape from our daily obligations when we are too tired and then, later on, we regret doing it. The thing that is even stranger is the fact that if the same thing happens again, the reaction would be the same and it goes on in what I like to call the circle of procrastination.
This is only one reason why time is important. Another even more important reason is the fact that seconds can make a difference in someone’s life. Someone who is in critical health conditions and the ambulance does not arrive on time might be very dangerous for the person’s health or if you or your animal are part of a situation that you can lose your lives is even worse. It happens and very frequently in real life, our video is above a life-risking situation of a horse as well.
It’s certainly not something you see every day: two adult horses, struggling to stay alive in the middle of a frozen lake. But that’s exactly what neighbors discovered on Pine Grove Lake in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, before calling 911 in a panic. Gunther and Wilhelm — both 15 years old and weighing more than 1,500 pounds each — are two Clydesdale horses who reside at the Quiet Valley Living Historical Farm.
It’s believed that the pair got spooked by sight or sound and broke out of their enclosure, then wandered onto the nearby ice and fell straight through. When rescue crews arrived, all they could see were two heads sticking out of the ice. Right at that point, they were both fighting for their lives through the much necessary help of the rescuers.
Nobody knew for how long were they in the water, that’s why it was very concerning the fact whether their health was in critical condition or not. The farm staff feared the worst and imagined the horrific sight of seeing Gunther’s and Wilhelm’s lifeless bodies being pulled from the lake. Unfortunately, they were sent out of the frozen place safe and that’s what really matters.
