Here at our community, we speak about a lot of horse breeds and we are really happy that there is such a diversity of them all over the world and there is always interesting content to share about them that people are probably not familiar with. It is true that some breeds are more interesting compared to all the others, however, even in breeds that different horse magazine or communities barely speak about, you can find a lot of interesting information about them.
That’s why I really don’t like it when people say for a certain breed that it is nothing interesting to talk about that. In every single breed, you will find at least a very successful horse that has left its mark in the horse world, hence, I advise all these people to research more about the history of the breed and particular horses that have had a message success in the horse world before jumping to conclusions that might not be accurate.
This breed in the video below is one of these breeds that is barely introduced on social media, yet, it is a very interesting one. Let’s get to know it a little better. The world needs to know the Yakut horse and that’s the reason why we wanted to share this video with horse lovers in the first place.
In reality, it is not true that horses in Siberia are used only to satisfy people’s ambitions… people from distant Yakut villages live in severe climate forces and they don’t have modern conveniences, so they are forced to use animals. That is real life in Siberia, not an ambition! Yakut horses have thick hair which helps them to endure the extreme cold and to survive.
They are capable to find food on their own and they are very smart while doing that. There are barely breeds who can survive in such extremely cold temperatures, one of the breeds that I would think of are Icelandic horses who have to face a very cold winter, yet, they are not even close to Yakutian horses when it comes to handling the cold winter. Please have a look at the video below and let us know what you think about them.
