The most emotional days for a parent are the days when their children are born and regardless, I have to say that the female parent is usually more emotional simply for the known fact of how difficult pregnancies can be. The moment that these children come to life, the whole world of a parent changes.
They put everything in second place when it comes to their children because the last ones are the most important in their lives. This stands true for every species out there. Animals, due to their limitation of reasoning compared to humans, are usually way more overprotective towards their babies compared to us. They will most likely not let you get close to their babies and every positive intention that you might have towards them will be perceived as a threat, especially when the animal is raised in the wild.
Not too long ago, we posted a video of a mother elephant whose baby was stuck in the mud for two days and when the rescuers came from them, she wouldn’t let anyone get close to her baby, hence, they had to put her to sleep for a few minutes until they were done with the rescuing of her baby. Not only protective, but these mother animals are also really proud of their babies and one of these proud mothers is just here.
This video shows a wonderful moment of a mare meeting her newborn for the first time! As you probably already know, baby horses are able to stand on their feet very soon after they are born. Once they are up, they start to follow around their mother and enjoy in every moment in the field. At the start of this video, you’ll see some graphic images of the mare giving birth to her baby and a man helping her to make things right.
Usually, it is really beautiful to get to witness the birth of a foal yourself. a very unique experience that all the horse lovers should try at least once in their lives.
