As sad as it is, a lot of times animals have to be euthanized due to difficult health conditions that they face during their lives or simply because of their aggressive behavior that can’t be controlled and be dangerous for the safety of other people. No matter how developed the healthcare system is, it is not developed for a lot of rare diseases or anomalies that specific individuals have.
That’s why taking care of our health is really important throughout all our lives, of course, there are still a lot of things that we can’t control but as we can control a lot of things to a certain degree, we should definitely do it and all of these illnesses can be connected to the way we eat but also the contact that we have with nature. I really support the development of healthcare, however, there are still new diseases that appear as time passes by like the most recent one Coronavirus and the healthcare might need a lot of time to find the cure, in a lot of cases, the cure can’t even be found.
This stands true not only for humans but animals as well. The horse in the story below had to be euthanized because of very aggressive behavior that became dangerous for other people but on the other hand, he felt a lot of pain that could have not been explained by anyone until the necropsy photo revealed the true reasons for such behavior. ‘This photo, taken during necropsy, shows the mouth of a horse who was euthanized for aggressive behavior.
Next time your horse says “NO”, remember that he might be trying to tell you he is in pain’, says Whole Horse Equitation. The horse had the most painful mouth as the necropsy photo showed. You can’t imagine how much pain that horse was dealing with every day. Just look at the photo! However, I have to add that it was a very rushed decision by the owner of the horse to make such a decision before the results of necropsy as it was something that could have been prevented. Please be informed about the conditions of your animals before taking the step of euthanizing them as your prediction is never as accurate as diagnose.
