It’s amazing to have a place where people bring rescued horses and where people get rescued right back. As a matter of fact, White Rock Horse Rescue Ranch is the place where you can take the rescued horses. Their primary mission is to rescue horses that have been abandoned or abused and to find new owners committed to providing them with a loving, caring environment.
Their extended mission is to provide un-adoptable horses a natural setting in which to live during their remaining days and to introduce various groups of people to the fascinating culture of the horse. Isabel Megli, the old lady running the ranch, says, “This is a sanctuary for people, dogs, cats, horses. The ranch became an image in my head long before it was reality. I bought the place in 2004 when there was dry land. I don’t feel I own it. I believe it belongs to anyone that’s here.”
This awesome old lady is living her dream not just for herself but sharing it with others who also benefit from the healing powers of horses and Izzy does everything she can to take care of the animals and the ranch. Horses need all the protection we can muster and Izzy does her best to give that. Watch the video!
