Children and animals share a special bond. Besides the obvious cuteness factor, watching them connect on a pure, often non-verbal level is almost magical. When five-year-old Alice Daisy met Bluey, who is believed to be the world’s smallest perfectly formed miniature horse, there was instant cuteness and chemistry. Bluey weighed a mere six pounds when he was born, making him smaller than many human babies.
The American Miniature was so tiny that owners Wil Weijters and Veronica Holtskot feared he would not survive. Thankfully the little darling is now thriving and charming everyone, including Alice Daisy, who visits the Cremedela Miniature Horse Centre in Aquitaine, France.
This adorable video perfectly captures the curiosity and innocence of childhood. Watch as Bluey and Alice play and frolic together joyfully, following each other from one end of the field to the other. Bluey’s golden mane looks very much like the little girl’s blond, wavy hair and both glisten beautifully in the sunlight.
At only 15 inches tall, Blue is also about a head shorter than Alice, raising the cuteness factor even more. The video concludes with two adorable photographs taken by photographer Jeff Ross that truly reveal the wonder of youth and our innate connection with all living things. The sweetness is guaranteed to brighten even the dullest of days.
