Rider Experiences A Rough Fall From Her Horse In The Ditch

This video contains disturbing scenes but which show that when riding we should really use body protectors. A 16.2hh, 650KG Irish Draught horse slipped and fell into a ditch with her rider.

The mare panicked and stamped on the rider while trying to evacuate the ditch into which they had fallen. All riders should seriously think about wearing body protection whenever they ride, no matter what the activity. A horse can trip or slip and fall at any pace and will then very likely panic when it finds itself on the ground.

It could happen to any of us, regardless of age or experience. Horse riding is supposed to be one of the most dangerous sports there are and taking precautions is the best way to protect ourselves. If we own those protectors, why not wear them?  Watch and share to raise awareness!
