I am pretty sure that all of you have watched a showjumping performance at least once in your life, whether on the internet or in person. It is one of the most beautiful things in the world to get to see such amazing performances in person as it is completely different from what you see on the internet. It gives you a way greater feeling of satisfaction when you get to see what is happening in person rather than on the internet.
It feels like it is something that can be easily done and does not require a lot of work but indeed; It takes hours of training to be able to deliver those perfect performances. It is really difficult to control the horses’ behavior, one big problem is getting them used to huge crowd as they might be scared or intimidated by the huge groups of people who are there to watch them.
This is one of the reasons why a lot of problems can happen during the performance and the rider needs to be fully prepared for anything as, at the end of the day, he/she needs to save the performance and make it worthy for all the viewers and I can tell for sure that this rider in the video below did. This is what we call an impressive recovery! This rider has done an amazing job while competing in Show Jumping.
Gina Miles the rider, had an accident during the ride and as you could see from the video footage beneath this text, her horse S.V.R. Ron has been in shock. During such moments, you really need to stay calm as the situation would get worse if the rider gets panicked as well. Though it wasn’t easy to do, she managed to pull back her bridle back on and finished the competition.
Her horse looked surprised when she asked him to continue, but they have proven to be an incredible team! The crowd has been amazed by their performance and Gina has shown some remarkable riding skills. They got back on the track after her recovery and they have finished the course perfectly. I think that the uncomfortable moment was totally forgotten at the end of the day. Please watch the video below and share your love for this incredible duo.
