I am pretty sure it is not a huge surprise seeing a president riding a horse because a lot of them have done so, however, I think it is a little unusual to see a passionate one. Not too long ago we saw the North Korean president riding a horse that got the attention of the North Korean media but not only. Now the spotlight is in another president, the Russian one.
This is the President’s Vladimir Putin 1st Operational Police Regiment of the Interior Ministry Main Department for Moscow at the invitation of female mounted and tourist police officers on the eve of International Women’s Day.
Putin presented an Orlov Trotter to the regiment from the president’s stable and received a horseshoe in return for good luck. “As we joke what women need to stay in good shape. Three elements – training apparatus, massager and an admirer,” the president quipped.
The President extended his greetings to the female police officers on International Women’s Day and noted that the unit in which they serve is unique. There are more than 800 officers in the regiment, one-third of them women. It is really great that the regiment included a considerable number of women because, in a lot of countries, they are considered incapable of such jobs. Watch the video below and enjoy!
