Selma Blair has shared an emotional series of posts on Instagram about reuniting with her horse for the first time in months since she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS).
The actor, 46, is a keen equestrian but hasn’t been able to go horse riding recently due to her MS, which has an adverse effect on a person’s mobility, often causing balance problems, muscle spasms and/or stiffness.
Blair explained how grateful she was to spend time with her horse, who she refers to as Mr. Nibbles after her trainer brought him to her home, describing the reunion as “a fairytale”.
“I will heal. I will ride,” she wrote in a caption underneath the photograph in which she can be seen crying as she embraces her horse.
