Lara Beth, the owner of the Equine System, which is a horse training solution, went to the stables a morning only to find there an orphan foal whose mother had just passed away early that morning because she had given birth two weeks earlier. This was one of the biggest challenges for her, she needed to do everything she could to save the premature foal.
Their vet gave the baby horse a full IV of plasma but she needed to be fed by a mother, in order to survive. Another horse, a four-year-old gelding named Cody, immediately after he saw the baby horse claimed her and wanted to protect and take care of that little foal but he couldn’t understand that he was a boy so he couldn’t really help her.
Lara Beth posted the story of the premature called Cooper on Facebook hoping that her Facebook friends would help her find a surrogate mare. The power of social networks was proved once again because Lara managed to find what she was looking for very quickly. She went to Mebane North and picked up a surrogate mare for Cooper.
In the video, we watch the beautiful moment where Cooper and the surrogate mare meet for the first time, of course with Cody as a babysitter neighbor who was standing next to them. Cooper finally drinks from her new mother and although they had some difficulties bonding with each other at first, Lara and her colleague managed to pass them with a little cheating. Now everyone seems to be happy!
