In the video below we are presented with an unlucky horse who fell inside a drain in Nonthaburi, Thailand and was unable to get out of it without other people’s help. The poor horse slipped into the five-foot deep hole but thankfully her owner spotted the horse quickly and stayed with her throughout all the time. The mare is blind from her left eye and did not notice at all the broken drainage cover.
At first, the owner tried to pull the horse all by herself but was not able to make her budge at all. After failing she decided it was time to call a local rescue foundation to save her horse before she fell in deeper. The rescue team went there almost immediately and as it can be seen in the video, one of the rescuers stays close to the terrified horse doing her best to keep her calm.
If she panicked and started to move she could easily injure herself. The rescuers had to use a pneumatic drill to smash the concrete and widen the hole and at the same time, they also had a difficult job to make sure they didn’t frighten or injure her. They even had to use a digger to widen the hole.
After intensive work, they felt like she had enough space and decided to carefully pull her out. Finally, after being trapped there for more than 3 hours the horse was able to move freely and managed to walk by himself and get out of there. Well done to these rescuers!
