If you are a pet owner, then I am pretty sure that it is a real struggle for you to find a pet-friendly hotel and I am talking about animals of relatively small size like dogs or cats. If we speak about horses, it is almost impossible to find a place to accommodate your horse, leave alone a giant one like the one in the video below.
Well, since a lot of hotels nowadays understand the importance of ‘keeping your pets with you on vacations cause they are part of the family as well’ they have included pet allowance in their policy and have thought about different ways of how to accommodate these animals in a proper way.
I am one of those owners who want to travel with their animals, so I really support this policy and I think it is a great business idea for hotels as everywhere in the world, there are a lot of animal owners who want to travel with their friends, however, I would like your opinion on it as well. Let us know what you think. Still, I don’t expect that most hotels see a lot of horses come into their lobbies! That’s exactly what happened at a Super 8 Hotel recently, though.
31-year-old Lindsey Partridge was traveling in Lexington, Kentucky, and had to stay overnight. She booked a room at the pet-friendly hotel, and when she heard their pet policy, she jokingly marched right into the lobby with her 5-year-old racehorse, Blizz. The woman at the front desk wasn’t at all alarmed that a racehorse had just entered the hotel, and told Lindsey that Blizz could stay as long as she paid the pet deposit — a mere $10.
Blizz ended up not spending the night at the hotel with Lindsey, but they did snap some incredible pictures together before he left. Well, I am pretty sure that this was one of the best vacations for Lindsey and she managed to stay in the hotel with her lovely animal. I really hope that there are going to be way more hotels like Super 8 and that the hotel’s receptionist or security guard won’t be surprised when they see a client entering the hotel with a horse.
